When I was younger, I would always lay in bed thinking about the Universe. Before I knew a bit about science or about this or about that or had any “real” knowledge whatsoever, I would think about how we came to be. What was before this? Was there something before this? Before dinosaurs? Before everything? I would lay still and quiet but eventually my head would pound from so much thought. I know now it was from lack of silence. Was it darkness? Pure black? No, no, it couldn’t have been because black exists, black is something. Could it be nothing? No, because nothing exists, nothing is something. What about lightness, pure white? No no, that can’t be it. All these pure colored images kept creeping into my mind. Blank canvases of color which I knew couldn’t be right because I knew about them. I have never honestly known them, I have merely known the label of them. The labels would create a barrier between darkness and darkness, lightness and lightness, nothingness and nothingness. What was before? Stillness, vibrations, frequencies, nothingness, aliveness, love, silence, eternity. What will come after? Stillness, vibrations, frequencies, nothingness, aliveness, unconditional love, silence, eternity. Find these beyond the label, feel them, let go of the ego and the conditioned patterns, you’ll see, you’ll feel your roots, and the purity of your Being.
